Ok, first i have to admit, i was never the biggest fan of Savage Garden. After Darren Hayes went solo, the only song i heard was “Insatiable,” which i loved! Still, i didn’t buy the album. That was back in 2002. As far as i
knew, that was the last thing Darren Hayes did.

Today, i stumbled upon the video for the first single “On The Verge Of Something Wonderful” from his new album This Delicate Thing We’ve Made, about to be released in August. After seeing the video, i went to his website and immediately was COMPLETELY BLOWN AWAY by two of his new songs, and i am now officially in love with Darren Hayes for the first time! The 2 songs i’m really excited about are “Who Would Have Thought?” and “Step Into The Light,” which has a seriously HOT bass line feels like a good fuck! (I also found videos for both of these on YouTube.) Also, be prepared to hear “Me Myself And (I)” in all the clubs.

The video shows Darren in a totally different light. He is the same age as me, and the maturity has not only done wonders for the sound of his voice, but also has given him fantastic spark and personality that i never saw in his face before! He’s also done with struggling with his image and is now apparently openly gay and proud, and it shows. He even has photos of his partner on his MySpace page, whom he recently married.

A lot of people who don’t know who Darren Hayes is are about to find out, and i fully expect him to begin a new career with this “debut” album.

I have been in love with Dash Mihok since i saw Baz Luhrmann’s Romeo + Juliet, in which he played Benvolio. He was the very hot tall redhead with his shirt open. It’s because of him that i have a little thing for redheads now. I also saw him in The Day After Tomorrow, The Perfect Storm, and Connie and Carla. But my favorite role of his was as Rusty in The Guru, where he played Heather Graham’s character’s massively adorable firefighter fiancee who ends up falling in love with his firefighter buddy Randy, (Bobby Cannavale.) I think the reason i am so attracted to him is because he is so unique. He has pale skin, red hair, and super bright blue eyes. His smile is just heart-melting!
Dash has been in many movies, and definitely has some big fans. He even dated Alanis Morissette in 1999. He even starred in Felicity. And yet, not only are there very few photos of him on the internet, but trying to find a good photo of him on the internet that actually looks like him is almost impossible. Especially his IMDB pic looks nothing like him! How can that be? It’s kind of bizarre to me, actually, that someone can be so gorgeous and sexy on film, but every photograph of him does him no justice. I’ve found a few small pics that come close, but none that really look the way i see him in my mind from his movie roles. (Part of the problem is, the more decent pics of him are with longer hair, and i think he looks better with really short hair.) So, what is this, some kind of non-photogenic phenomenon? And why are there so few photos of him in the first place? Is it because no one can take a good one? (Crazy, right?) The other crazy thing is that if you look at all the photos of him, it seems like you’re looking at different people. His face is like a chameleon or something.

I was in line at the supermarket today and saw a headline on the cover of the National Examiner that read, “Prince William Eloped!” For the first time in my life, i picked up a gossip mag and opened it to read further, only to discover that he did not actually get married. We recently saw Harold and Kumar Go To White Castle again on tv, and when Freak Show came on the screen, i turned to Paul and said, “Holy shit! Do you know who that is??? That’s Elliot Stabler!” Paul did a quick search on IMDB just to be sure. “Yep, that is Christopher Meloni!” he said. “That’s fucking funny!” If you watch Law And Order SVU, you know that Chris plays a very serious, sensitive, intense, brooding, very sexy and lovable character. I’ve always had a thing for Elliot Stabler! To see him playing such a disgusting, crazy, creepy, singing & clapping, bible-thumping, group sex loving character in this movie is pretty crazy!
