Another Latin music jewel i discovered during my flight home from Miami is the Baja Californian trio Reik, and their single from their second studio album Secuencia, “Invierno.”

This song about winter, and how it doesn’t feel like winter when the writer is with his lover, is such a beautiful song! The vocal line is so intricate and melodic - something that we only hear in American music from such bands as Rascal Flatts. This music excites and inspires me, even if i don’t quite understand all the words. (It is at times like this that i really want to move to Mexico!)
